Department Approval: <br />X91 -7 <br />Item Description: <br />BEQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />Q� 4?Wt <br />Arbor Day Proclamation <br />DAVE: 4/26/93 <br />ITEM NO: �. <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent -Agenda <br />BACKCRCTND <br />As a part c,-r our Tree City USA membership, each year the City of <br />Roseville proclaims a specific day as Arbor Day in order to <br />recognize the importance of trees and to promote their proper <br />care and the planting of many additional appropriate tree species <br />to replace the thousands that have been lost over the years* <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />This is consistent with the policy adopted many years ago of <br />annually proclaiming Arbor Day. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br />None. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS <br />That Saturday, May 1, 1993 be named Roseville Arbor Day <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion adopting the proclamation. <br />y <br />
