REQUEST FOR-COUNCIL lICTION DATE: 4/25/93 <br />ITEM No o : P M. 12ow <br />Department r a1: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section; <br />P Reports and Recommendations <br />Item Descripticn: Resolution approving plans and specifications, <br />authorizing ad for bids for grater booster station <br />improvements., C it . project 92- 21 <br />B ackgrouad t The city Council received - the feasibility study for <br />improvements to the water booster station on arch.2, 19539 The <br />improvement includes installation of bypass piping, pump modifications <br />to pump No. 4, and minor miscellaneous building improvements* The. <br />total estimated cost of the work as approved is 841000 In approving <br />the feasibility report, the Council authorized tie preparation of plans <br />and s ecifications* The plans have now been completed by our consulting <br />engineer, TEDA, and are being presented to the City Council for <br />consideration* <br />policy objectives: Following normal procedure and state statute, it is <br />necessary for the Council to approve the plans and specifications for <br />this public improvement and authorize the placement of the advertisement <br />for bids. Accordingly, staff seeks approval of these plans so the ad <br />for bids can be placed. <br />financial implications: Financing for the project has been discussed <br />in the feasibility report and in past correspondence with Council. <br />Financing for the improvements to the booster station will be paid for <br />from the water utility funds The water utility budget has $100,,000 set <br />aside for this project* <br />Schedules Assuming the Counci <br />
