Such a use of private residential property is most definitely NOT in keeping with the character of our neighborhood and is a practice we certainly do not want to begin to allow. Commercial traffic Is encroaching on more and more residential areas in . Roseville, and we believe that allowing such a special use permit will only serge to spread that traffic into residential neigbborhoods even more. In addition, we are of the opinion that once a business sucb as that is allowed to even one home, it will have a negative effect on the property, and therefore resalev values of the neighboring homese Fur the r, if one homeowner to given such a permit q there will be no reason 1� for denying other such permits In the surrounding area a- and we could not W be more strongly opposed to that prospect. Our neighborhood is a quiet, peaceful little section trying to maintain its privacy In an ever - expanding sea of commercialism and the attendant problems of increased traffic, vandalism and crime. Let's stop the spread now and keep business in the commercial zones mbere it belongs, not in residential neighborhoods where we come home to relax and lire in peace in q,u iet . We request that the application of Patricia Curtiss for a special use permit to operate a beauty salon at 1987 Aldine be denied and that the Planning Commission and the City•`Council so act.
