City of Roseville Participation <br />The City of Roseville is asked to Co-Sponsor the Roseville <br />Cornerstone Neighborhood ProgramTm together with Norwest <br />Mortgage, Inc. and orwest- Bank of Roseville. <br />As Co-Sponsor, Roseville will be asked to provide publicity about <br />the Program and to provide targeted informational mailing to <br />Rosevffie residents. The city staff will be asked to assist in <br />identifying typical home -types in the comi ty for the creation <br />of prototype improvement examples. City representatives will <br />also participate in seminar presentations. <br />To begin the programin neighborhoods where stable lo growing <br />vales can be achieved, the City of Roseville will be invited to <br />designate, as "Cornerstone NeighborhoodsTM ", the areas perceived <br />to be most promising for both program and city goals. As these <br />areas yield successful results, the program will spread throughout <br />the balance of the community. <br />How the city 6f Roseville will benef it <br />It goes without saying that increased residential tax bass will <br />exceed the nominal cost of the program. As families with school <br />age children are attracted or retained, Roseville schools will also <br />benefit. <br />But the greatest benefit exceeds in character the individual gains of <br />families and local government. The Roseville Cornerstone <br />Neighborhood Program"m offers the profound opportunity to <br />reverse an accepted fear--that inner -ring suburbs must historically <br />deteriorate - -to substitute instead the cornerstone conviction that <br />Roseville remains for another generation, a stable transforming, <br />contmporary community in which reinvestment will have its <br />reward.
