EXTRACT of MINUTES of MEETING of THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY of ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of R6seville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 12th day of April, 1953, at 7:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present. 40 <br />and the following were absent <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION PTO. <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FIRE RELIEF PENSION INCREASE <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the laws of the State of <br />Minnesota, the City Council is required to • approve pension benefit <br />increases and funding thereof before the Roseville Fire Relief <br />Association may implement a change; and <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Fire Relief Association has requested increased <br />pension benefits; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has requested that the Association consider the <br />adoption of certain procedural matters,, although the Association is <br />not obligated) to do so, and <br />WHEREAS, the Relief Association's Board of Trustees, in cooperation <br />with the City, has adopted and implemented investment policies and <br />procedures dated December 14,, 1992f set forth on Exhibit At Such <br />policies and procedures are intended to provide safeguards for the <br />investment of property tax and state aid funds received by the Relief <br />Association for the benefit of firefighters; and <br />WHEREAS, in the spirit of cooperation, representatives of the Relief <br />Association's Board of Trustees and the City have proposed certain <br />procedural matters, set forth on Exhibit B, which will be presented to <br />the Board of Trustees for adoption and, thereafter where appropriate, <br />to the membership for inclusion in the bylaws of the Association; <br />NOW, THEREFORE', BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota, that the Council adopts and approves the <br />following pension rates and implementation schedule retroactive to <br />aanuary 1, 1993, in consideration of the Relief AssociationF s Board of <br />Trustees agreeing to the matters contained in paragraph 4 on Exhibit <br />B, and the membership of the Relief Association adopting and <br />maintaining (unless there is a good faith and reasonable basis for <br />amending) the matters set forth in paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 on Exhibit <br />as bylaw provisions: <br />E f fect ive Date Month1v ,.a LgmR Sum ' Fa out <br />r, <br />January 1, 1993 17950 $11750 <br />January 1. 1994 0eOO 2pOOO <br />
