Reports and Recommendations Item Description: Authorization for Gymnastics Center Lease ". tension BACGR TJ The City of Roseville has, along with the Roseville Gymnastics Associ- ation, provided a comprehensive youth gymnastics program fo.r several years. The annual enrollment is 710 participants in gymnastics. Since 1 9 8 8- the City has leased approimAtely 7,000 square feet of space at 1969 West County Road C2 from the Roberts Development Corpoe- ration. This lease was extended in 1991 and expires on May 30, 1993* Staff has explored other options and at this time there are no other alternatives available for housing this program. Staff has renegoti- ated the lease which includes the following terms i 1e A decrease in the monthly rental rate from the current rate of $2,204.00 to $2,100.00 beginning June 1, 1993, 2e This monthly fee would remain current during the entire lease period. 3. The lease period would be from June 1. 1993 to May 31, 19950 49 The new lease would allow -the city to dissolve the agreement for: a# elimination or donsizing of program ` b. acquiring another space to hold the program These elements are nevi conditions negotiated in this lease,.
