REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: 3/22/93 <br />Department Approval: <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />ITEM NO. : Wr 3 <br />Agenda 'Section: <br />Ordinances and .Resolutions <br />a <br />item aacriptlon: Resolution for apportionment of assessments <br />Background: The Ramsey County Department of Property Taxation has <br />requested the City of Roseville to apportion the assessments on the <br />property identified as 02 29- 23-12 0075 -1 and 0 �29�23�1 0076- 4, 3071 <br />Avon Street. This apportionment is due to a lot split. The City <br />Council approved the lot split on December 11, 1978, but it was not <br />recorded until February of 19930 <br />Policy Objectives: The City counci.1 is the only authorized body to <br />reapportion levied assessments. The reapportionment assigns the proper <br />assessment amount to the amended legal description by council <br />resolution. The legal descriptions may be changed due to land <br />subdivision, easement recordingv or other similar transactions. <br />Financial implications: By approving the reapportionment, the <br />outstanding monies owed the city can be collected with the taxes'. If <br />not done, the city would have to directly bill property owners for the <br />outstanding assessment amounts. <br />RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION: <br />Adoption of a reBolution for apportiortment Of assessments on the <br />requested division of property by Ramsey County: Division Mo. <br />DH0641750 <br />
