ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />VISION <br />Roseville -shall be a commuhity where a cooperative and balanced <br />relationship between citizens, government, and business creates a <br />progressive economic development! - economic development that <br />continues to create new opportunities for Roseville constituents <br />with an emphasis on <br />Job retention and expansion. <br />Growth of the City's tax base. <br />Offering a high quality of life to every Roseville <br />resident. <br />GOALS <br />Live and Work Balance <br />i Maintain a positive balance between the living and working <br />environment with the appropriate mix and distribution of <br />uses within the City's Land Use Plan. <br />Emphas i z e high quality mixed density housing, restrict <br />further retail development, encourage medium size office <br />space. <br />Reduce low yield industrial. users as part of the Roseville <br />land use approach. <br />Landscape and buffer residential neighborhoods from other <br />types of development as well as protect existing <br />neighborhoods. <br />Maintain parr space equal to or greater than its current <br />percentage of total- land use, <br />Revise the City's Land Use Plan to accomplish the <br />following: <br />h <br />Utilize innovative land use approaches through mixed use <br />developments; e. g + Planned Unit Developments (PUDIs),, <br />emphasizing green space, encourage creative mixed use u' <br />developments such as residential villages, innovative <br />joint parr ing arrangements,, right-of-way abandonments , <br />etc. All types of land use, including park space, could <br />be relocated as necessary to balance the community <br />environment. <br />
