Establish collection points for household hazardous <br />waste items, such as household batteries, where such <br />points are not now available. <br />To develop strong environmental awareness and education <br />programs for Roseville's citizens and policy makers. <br />Use educational materials and programs to elicit citizen <br />support and involvement. <br />Encourage educational programs aimed at our young <br />people. <br />- Review and monitor environmental curriculum and <br />participation by Roseville district students. <br />MW Increase program scope and usage of Harriet Alexander <br />Nature Center, particularly collaborative programs with <br />the School District. <br />To develop programs which encourage energy and water <br />conservation by residents{ commerce and industry. <br />To establish building code requirements, both <br />residential and commercialf that encourage energy <br />conservation. <br />Cooperate with Neighborhood Energy consortium (N.E.Cl) <br />programs in St. Paul and their energy programs. <br />- Develop water rates for residents and businesses which <br />encourage water conservation. <br />Designate adequate bicycle lanes on all roadways; <br />To establish a standing Environmental Monitoring and Review <br />Committee to advise the city of Roseville on environmental <br />issues. <br />4 <br />
