February 1, 1993 <br />RE: CITY of RO FvI PATHWAY PROJECT <br />Dear Consultants <br />The City of Roseville recently received notification from the <br />Metropolitan Council that we have received grant funding for a <br />pathway project to he funded by 1992 Federal Surface <br />Transportation funds. our project was ranked fourth overall in <br />the metropolitan area for funding and is included in the <br />metropolitan councilts final priority funding list for completion <br />in 1993. A copy of the grant application for which the city <br />received financing is attached for your review. <br />The city wishes to receive from you a letter of interest and <br />statement of qualifications regarding your ability to complete <br />this project, In addition to normal municipal engineering <br />issues, we perceive the project to require special expertise in <br />the areas of landscape architecture, parr planning, and land <br />t <br />surveying. <br />The concept for the park is a linear type park trail along county <br />Road C in the City of Roseville whore shown on the snap between <br />Cleveland Avenue and Rice Street and -also Korth and south on <br />Fairview Avenue and Snelling Avenue * Also, the project will <br />involve assembling parcels of right -of way for acquisition, so it <br />is important that the firm selected has RLS capabilities to <br />provide the city with assistance and preparation of legal <br />descriptions for parcels to be acquired. <br />The anticipated time line for this project and related activities <br />is as f ollows : <br />April 1993 <br />Apr i 1 m--July 1993 <br />July 1993 <br />August 1993 <br />ept : � -Nov . 1993 <br />Dec . � -Flay 1994 <br />Jan . - -mFeb . 1994 <br />Consultant selected <br />Preliminary design <br />Public meetings <br />Pubiic bearings <br />Final design <br />Right­bof� way acquisition <br />Advertisement for bids <br />
