The comparisons are as follows,, <br />INTER MAINTENANCE <br />Ramsey County $1,860 /lane mile x 1, 1 /lane miles = $2,250 year <br />City of Roseville 900 /large mile x 1.21 lane miles = -1.100--year <br />SAVINGS TOTAL $1,15 0 <br />SNOW REMOVAL-AND HAULING <br />Estimate 5 times per season 1 <br />operators <br />Ramsey County = $4,435 <br />City of Roseville i -,800 <br />SAVINGS TOTAL $1,635 <br />truck, 1 loader, 1 blower and <br />With these comparisons I am recommending we terminate the bridge <br />maintenance agreement following the 1992 -93 printer season. In an <br />average snowfall season we should see a total savings of over <br />$2,000. The routine bridge maintenance for this agreement was on <br />a time materials basis. I would propose the City crews d0 the <br />sweeping and minor repairs. Any other repairs or maintenance that <br />City crews cannot handle in -house would be contracted to the <br />private sector. <br />I would propose reduc ing the contractual ma i ntenance budget in this <br />area by $2,000 if we discontinue this agreement. <br />
