Association. Either party may petition the American Arbitration Association for arbitration <br />according to its rules applicable at that time; provided, however, notwithstanding the rules of <br />the American Arbitration Association, such disputes shall be heard and decided by a single <br />arbitrator, Fees for such arbitrations shall be shared equally by the parties and each party shall <br />be responsible for its own costs. <br />11+ Term of Aereem ent. This Agreement shall rernain in full force and effect for <br />twenty -five (ZS) years following adoption, except the City shall have the right to terminate the <br />Agreement by giving the School District ninety (90) days written notice of its intent to cancel <br />the entire Agreement or with regard to any individual Elementary School covered by the <br />Agreement. In the event of cancellation, the parties will be mutually relieved of any further <br />obligations as set forth in this Agreement. The City may extend said Agreement for a period <br />of ten (10) years pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein; provided, however, that <br />the City provides notice of such extension to the School District no more than 24 months and <br />no less than 18 months prior to the termination date of the im' dal 5 -year terra. In the event <br />notice is not given, said right to extend shall lapse and terminate and shall be of no further force <br />and effect. <br />12, Nod Any and all notices and demands by or from City to School District, or <br />from School District to City, shall be in writing and shall be validly given or made if served <br />either personally or if deposi d in the United States ail, certified or registered, postage <br />prepaid, return receipt requested. If such notice be served personally, service shall be <br />conclusively deemed made at the time of such personal service. If such notice or demand be <br />served by registered or certified mail in the manner herein provided, service shall be <br />9 <br />
