REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: 1/11/93 <br />ITEM NO. � #-, <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda section: <br />a- Ordinances and Resolutions <br />Item Description: Resolution for apportionment of assessments <br />Background: The Ramsey county Department of Property Taxation has <br />requested the city of Roseville to apportion the assessments on the <br />property identified as Central par] view No. , sub j to lid . Outl of B, <br />Property Identification Number 1 - 29 :23�23w-0037. This apportionment is <br />due to the city acquiring a road easement for a cul -de -sac at the east <br />end of Sextant east of Dale street (see attached map). <br />Policy objectives: The city council is the only authorized body to <br />reapportion levied assessments. The reapportionment assigns the proper <br />assessment amount to the amended legal description by council <br />resolution* The legal descriptions may be changed due to land <br />subdivision, easement recording, or other similar transactions. <br />Financial Implications: By approving the reapportior ent, the <br />outstanding cronies owed the city can be collected with the taxes. If <br />not done, the city would have to directly bill property owners for the <br />outstanding assessment accounts. <br />NECOMENDED COUNCIL ACTION: <br />Adoption of a resolution for apportionment of assessments on the <br />requested division of property by Ramsey county: Division No. <br />DL064064 <br />
