REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE : 1/09/93 <br />ITEM No . : <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda section <br />Organizational Business <br />Item Description: Appointment to the City Council. <br />Background <br />The recent election of Roseville City Council Member Brenda Thomas to <br />the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners resulted in a vacancy which <br />needs to he filled by the City Council. A special work session was <br />held on December 29f at which time the Council interviewed sixteen <br />applicants for the selection of a person to fill this anticipated <br />vacancy. <br />The Council may, at this time., appoint a person to fill the vacancy of <br />the unexpired term of Brenda Thomas on the City Council. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />motion appointing <br />term of Brenda Thomas on the Roseville <br />i1, 1993 and ending December 311 1993, <br />to fill the unexpired <br />city council beginning January <br />
