F 10
A-$
January 5, 1993
To: City Council
FRO. Steve Sarkozy L
SUBJECT. VISTA 2000 STUDY GROUP REPORTS
Before the holidays, you received copies of the final draft
reports from each of our VISTA 000 study Croups. We hope you
have had the opportunity to review those thoroughly,
The intent of the VISTA 2000 Community Planning Process is to
define lonq term goals for the community and direct future
actions of City staff and City Council. As such, the final draft
reports are important and should be carefully considered.
I would appreciate knowing,, at our Council Breakfast Meeting on
Wednesday, January 6, any concerns that you might have regarding
the final draft reports of the VISTA 0 o o Study Groups. We plan
on meeting with the Study Group Chairs and staff liaisons on
Thursday at 7:00 p.m., at which time we'll discuss some of these
concerns and areas of possible conflict between Study Groups.
Overall, the staff is very supportive of the conclusions and the
work in total of the Study Groups. However, there are some
significant issues which may warrant some attention. I will
point those out to you at our breakfast meeting.
Your help on this matter is appreciated.
Respectfully submitted.
