Minutes (f p <br />2) Is the 2004 CIP depreciation dollar amount still <br />applicable at $3b,000, or is it reduced given the <br />recent purchase of new equipment and not repairing <br />two of the older units; and can those potential <br />savings be diverted to salaries or advertising for the <br />Fire Department. <br />City Manager Beets, Finance Director Miller and Assistant <br />Fire Chief O'Neill were charged with providing additional <br />information to the Council related to this item. <br />3) Mayor Kysylyczyn requested additional and more <br />specific information on the "Membership and <br />Subscriptions" category of the 2004 Budget for the <br />Fire Department. <br />Assistant Fire Chief O'Neill and Deputy Fire Chief <br />Chandler detailed some of the Administration Budget and <br />their need to keep current on industry standards and <br />rebated training tips. <br />Further discussion included projected savings with the <br />recent IP telephone system. <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn noted that he would address the <br />vesting issue at the next Fire Relief Association meting, <br />but didn't see a potential change. <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn noted, in a related item, that the <br />unfunded liability compliance issue needed to be <br />determined as part of the Council's 2004 Budget <br />discussion. <br />X.
