Regular City Council + <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 32 <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn amended his motion, with Maschka <br />seconding the amendment to read a reduction of $40,000, <br />rather than $50,000. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Kough, Klausing and Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: Schroeder. <br />Suggested Reduction <br />Suggested Amount <br />Eliminate car allowance for <br />artrnent Head <br />$1531400 <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Schroeder seconded, a reduction of <br />$15,400 in employee car allowance for Department Heads. <br />Councilmember Schroeder spoke in favor of the motion <br />and revising policy to apply federally- mandated mileage <br />reimbursement, rather than flab reimbursements. <br />Discussion included taxable and nontaxable income and <br />calculation procedures. <br />Aber further discussion, Mayor Kysylyczyn moved to <br />table action on this item until staff had provided additional <br />information for the Council's decision - making process. <br />City Equipment Installation in Personal Vehicles <br />Councilmember Schroeder questioned an unrelated note in <br />the staff report related to installation of city equipment in <br />personal vehicles (i.e., Fire Chief s personal vehicle). <br />Councilmember Klausing noted that his item was a policy <br />issue, not a budget issue, and could be discussed at another <br />time. <br />Suggested Reduction <br />Suggested Amount <br />Reduce contribution to Northwest <br />Youth and Family Services (NYFS) <br />$511000 <br />Kysylyczyn moved, with the chair ruling a second a <br />reduction of $5,000 to the NYFS. <br />
