Promotions and Separgt_ions <br />251-010, Promoti_cns f <br />1. It is the policy of the city to ill vacancies in munici <br />f pal <br />service by promotion of regular City employees when possible <br />based on the relative qualifications of all applicants. <br />2. All promotions shall be subject to a probationary period of <br />six months. <br />3. If an employee who has been promoted is found to be unsuitable <br />for the position to which he /she has been promoted within the <br />first two years after the date of promotion, he /she shall be <br />reinstated in his /her former position� or in some other <br />position of s imi 1 ar pair and responsibility. <br />251.020. Employee Benefits. <br />F,mployees Mired in regular full-time positions are eligible to <br />receive sick leave, vacation, paid holidays and any other benefits <br />which are approved by Council Resolution. Regular part -time <br />employees who work at least twenty ( ❑) hours per weep are eligible <br />for paid holidays on a pro -rata basis and any other benefits which <br />are approved by council Resolution* <br />252.020. Service Credit. <br />service credit for a regular or probationary full -time employee <br />begins on the date of employment and is calculated as follows <br />1. A regular or probationary full-time employee who works twelve <br />or more days in a calendar month will receive full service <br />credit for that month. <br />2. A regular or probationary full -time employee who works less <br />than twelve days in any calendar month will not receive <br />service credit for that month unless the time off is covered <br />4 <br />
