Section 4. Housing Action Steps /Implemen #ation Strategies <br />The following action steps are implementation strategies to help achieve the <br />goals identified above. The action steps are annually refined as part of the <br />comprehensive planning process and Housing Plan review. Not all action steps <br />will be implemented in the current year, rather they will be implemented <br />based upon prioritization in alignment with annual budget resources. Many of <br />the action steps are noted as a high priority for the HRA. <br />4.1 Create an educational environment that promotes quality housing <br />renovation and housing assistance through the Home & Garden 5how, <br />HousingResource Center* technical assistance and target marketing. <br />Fund an annual Home d Garden Fair featuring housing contractors, <br />remodeling vendors, landscape companies and 'Finance agencies. The <br />Fair includes seminars, children's activities and door prizes and is held <br />the first Saturday in February or last Saturday in January. <br />Identified as a high priority of the HRA. <br />Assist the o! ,� � ur ce Centers North Metro which provides <br />technical construction management and financial advice through an <br />annual f ee paid by the HRA. The services of HousingResource Center <br />are provided free to residents. Services include assistance on <br />building evaluations, city code and permit process, scope of work, <br />construction cost information, construction ion bid process, evaluation of <br />submitted bids, monitor construction process and purchase counseling. <br />Identi f led as a high priority of the HRA. <br />Produce a remadelers handbook that provides a summary of projects <br />highlighted over the years through the Rambler Redesign Program. <br />Strengthen the CA's with local banks, reactors, school <br />district and non - profit service providers to effectively infirm the <br />community about the benefits of hauling rehabilitation and <br />reinvestment programs and partnerships.
