Identified as a high <br />priority for the HRA. <br />Support and encourage the Use of the Ramsey Cou,n t .First Time <br />.Nome Buyers Proa Mm which provides down payment assistance for <br />low-moderate income households purchasing their first home in <br />Ramsey County and reduced rate mortgages. <br />• Support and market free home awraersho education, funded in part by <br />Ramsey County, which includes information regarding the buying <br />process, financial assistance available and linkages with for sale domes <br />affordable to the first time homebuyer. <br />4.5 Support and expand the Senior Housing Regeneration Program (SHRP) <br />which provides links between the sale of homes by seniors and <br />purchases by young families. <br />• <br />Promote the Senior Housing Regeneration Program (SHRP?, a program <br />of the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation {GMHC }, which uses <br />State and Metro Council funds to help properties in transition from a <br />senior resident to a family, The SHRP assists seniors in moving to <br />alternate housing and provides empty and improved homes for working <br />first time home buying families. In addition to working with GMHC <br />and housing developers to identify seniors moving out of single family <br />homes, the HRA will support future funding efforts for SHRP. <br />Identified as a high priority for the HRA. <br />• Develop a polic which includes a prov +sion that allows new "senior only <br />housing" projects developed in the community to collaborate with the <br />HRA, local churches ,school districts, GMHC and /or private sector <br />developers to provide linkages between senior residents moving from <br />their homes into the new development with families. <br />4.6 Work with rental property owners to encourage continuous <br />improvements that contribute to a quality living environment of its <br />tenants and the sustainability of mixed -use neighborhoods. <br />Strengthen tenant /landlord relationships and upkeep of rental <br />Horsing plan — 2004 Page 13 Roseville HRA <br />
