The abatement to be <br />discussed is the last remaining item requiring correction, this year, fr pm the original list of City <br />Code violations; the protecting of a drainage send that. is rely to cause erosion onto <br />adjoining property at 2000 Cleveland Ave. i1 r� E essa, q . are encoyr g a to attend this <br />meeting and you will be given the opportunity to speak, if you choose to do so. it Council <br />y y <br />i-neetings begin at 6:00 P.M. <br />At this meeting the Community Development Department will be requesting authority from City <br />Council to complete the following work: covering the northerly portion of the drainage swale <br />mound (or possibly constructing a short retaining wall in this area) and removing any remaining <br />portion of the mound that is still on the adjoining property. Charges incurred for this work would <br />then be charged against the property (1 992 Cleveland Ave.) for irr mediate payment, or (if not <br />paid), for assigning to property taxes (per City Code Section 407.06 & 07 — copy enclosed). <br />Mr. Eggess a, since this meeting will not occur for almost two weeps, f encourage you to <br />complete the work yourselves before this date. I do realize you have made significant progress <br />correcting the original list of violations and your property is looking very good, however, this <br />remaining item adversely affects an adjoining property and roust be completed yet this gear. As <br />stated previously, satisfactory rep airs would include: removing any portion of ' the swat a from the <br />adjoining property and then covering the northerly portion of the Swale mound with a wall ter` - <br />permanent type covering that will stop any erosion from occum'n g a onto the adjoining } g <br />On October 13th, 2003 the City will reinspect the site.
