a) Recyo f abler shall be required to be placed at the curbside by <br />owner or tenant by 7:00 a.m. on the designated collection <br />day. <br />b) Mrilti -Unit containers shall not be located inside the building} <br />(unless requested otherwise) but shall be adjacent to waste <br />dumpster enclosures at all certified multi -unit collection sites. <br />All multi -unit recycling collection containers shall be clearly <br />marled with the materials accepted and materials preparation <br />requirements. The individual building owner or manager may <br />designate alternate container locations. <br />6. Acceptable Regyclables <br />Means "newsprint and inserts, unsorted glass (food and beverage <br />containers),, unsorted aluminum, steel, bi- metal, and tin cans (food <br />and beverage containers), corrugated cardboard, magazines, <br />telephone boobs, catalogs, mixed mail* boxbo a rd, mixed plastic <br />bottles with a neck, Poly - Ethylene Terephthalate (PET) and high - <br />density Poly - Ethylene (HDPE), and any other materials" mutually - <br />agreed -upon between the City and Contractor. The City encourages <br />the Contractor to explore markets for additional types of recyclable <br />material. Materials may be added to this list by mutual written <br />agreement between the City and the Contractor. <br />7� Preparation <br />Material shall be clean and free of non-recyclable rnateri al . Items <br />shall be placed in paper kraft bags, City - provided blue recycling bins <br />or any other container that can reasonably be identified as containing <br />recyclable material to be collected. Contractor shall collect <br />reeyclables that have been prepared in the following manner: <br />Curbside: <br />A 2 -sort collection of co- mingled containers and co- mingled fibers <br />will be used (see exceptions in section dealing with single- stream <br />collection). <br />Co-mingled Containers to include <br />Glass Food & Beverage Containers, Metal Food & Beverage .RR <br />Containers, and Mixed Plastic Bottles & Jugs. <br />
