recyclable materials processing operations. The Contractor shall report actual <br />percent process residuals disposed, and the disposal facility or facilities utilized for <br />disposal, with each monthly billing statement. If the process residuals maximum <br />is exceeded for any month, the report shall include the types and amounts of <br />materials landfilled or incinerated, the reason for the landfllling or incineration, <br />and the steps being taken by Contractor to avoid landfill or incineration. <br />7, Process Residuals Characterization <br />The Contractor shall provide at least quarterly reports to the City that characterizes <br />the composition of process residuals from the contractor's processing facility or <br />facilities. The Contractor shall provide such individual quarterly reports for all <br />facilities that process City recyclables. At a minimum, these process residuals <br />composition reports shall include: name and location of facility; qualitative <br />description of all sources of residuals from the facility; date of samples; number of <br />samples; total weight of each sample; method of selection; percent residuals b <br />weight) of total material processed, percent by weight of the following <br />commodities: pager by sub -type, Mass by sub -type, metal by sub -type, plastic by <br />sub -type, and other miscellaneous. Attachment A contains the detailed process <br />residuals sampling, sorting, weighing and analysis protocol and is incorporated by <br />reference into this contract amendment. [Protocol details to be negotiated with <br />Waste Management to determine the most feasible approach for process <br />residuals.] <br />8. Estimatigg Materials Corn osition as collected <br />The Contractor shall provide at least quarterly reports to the City that characterize <br />the composition of rejects collected from City residents. This composition shall <br />be based on a percentage by weight derived from sorts and Freights of actual <br />material as collected from the City' At a minimum, this rejects composition report <br />shall include: location of sampling /sorting; date of samples; number of samples; <br />total weight of each sample; truck route sampled; method of selection; percent <br />rejects ects weight) of total load; and, percent by weighi of the following <br />commodities: paper by sub -type, glass by sub -type, metal by sub -type, plastic by <br />sub -tie, and other miscellaneous. Attachment B contains the detailed rejects <br />sampling, sorting, weighing and analysis protocol and is incorporated by reference <br />into this contract amendment. [Protocol details to be negotiated with waste <br />Management to determine the most feasible approach for rejects.] <br />9. End Market ertif rcation <br />The Contractor shall provide at least quarterly written certification to the City that <br />all recyclable commodities identified are indeed recycled and not disposed.
