Message-----
irom: Baird, Steve B. %/ i / / / / / / % % % / / / % % % % % % / % N
OWN
Tuesdayg September ;
r f
Changes # Recycling
Council Members*
I'm sure you are receiving a lot of email and calls regarding a notice that was mailed, to
Roseville households concerning changes to our recycling service. I do not know who sent
this notice, and I wish the sending person or organization would have identified
themselves.
If the assertions of the flyer I received are correct, (1) 30% of recycled materials would
end up in the trash and (2) we will pay a higher recycling fee, I would like to see our
recycling remain as it is. Sorting plastics from papers is fire with me. It is not much
of bother.
With the Bush administration rolling back so many environmental regulations, I would at
.east like to see the city of Roseville maintain a system that increases the amount of
materials actually recycled. The only change I would like to see is every week pickup,
but 1 suppose that is not economically feasible, or is it?
'hanks for your attention.
Steven Baird
2452 Aglen Street
Roseville
I
