Reduce the City's Contribution to the I- 5w corridor Coalition
and the Roseville Ambassador Association. $14,000.
i. Accordingly, I recommend the 1 -w
Corridor Coalition funding be reduced 0 %.
ii. Explanation: Council is currently spending $5,000
per year for the Ambassador Association to support
a poise and beauty contest and to have the ferrule
ambassadors attend public events. Until last year,
this activity was supported solely and very success-
fully by the private sector. This expenditure of pub-
lic funds is hard to justify as a core City function
when it was so successfully run solely with private
sector funds and when the City is losing $700,000
in annual funding and incurring $1.375 million
more in annual expenses.
L.
