Items <br />In addition to the recommended awards above9 we recomtnend approval of alternate I and 2 from <br />Bid Package 2 at this time. The base bid for screening for the maintenance yard area included <br />precast wall for a portion of the yard area directly south of the new salt storage building and <br />ornamental fence for the southeast and northeast corners of the yard area. we feel it is desirable <br />to screen the maintenance activity from other uses of this site, as well as from the surrounding <br />neighbors. we recommend that we award the following additional work at this time to allow for <br />construction of the screen wall in conjunction with the salt storage building and screen wall yet <br />this fail. <br />Alternate I & 2 Northeast and southeast Screen walls <br />Excavation <br />Imperial Developers $3,000 <br />Footings <br />Steenbgg watrud $27,000 <br />Precast wall <br />Manson $80328 <br />We will receive a deduct at the time we award the fence contract at a later date to offset a portion <br />of this cost. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: <br />The }yids received fall within the estimated budget for this portion of the project. we are <br />committed to delivering this project within the overall amount approved by City Council. <br />
