On occasion, we
have failed to connect due to my failure to get,the leaves in the
street, the leaves have yet to fall or snow has prevented their pickup
when scheduled. When this happens, l haul the leaves to the compost
site on Dale. 1 don't understand the rationale for eliminating both
options for Roseeille residents. "Everything goes somewhere and
somebody has to pair for it.
If options to dispose of leaves become too prohibitive, our streets,
yards and open areas will be filled with dead laves to be washed down
the storm sewers, show plowed onto our lawns or own into yards and
property of people who have paid for leaf removal by the waste
coLLectors or lawn service companies. 1 think the city policies should
endorse and support citizen leaf disposal as much as it encourages and
supports tree planting. Many or the trees (and leaves) are city
property and there is some obligation to take care of both.
Thank you,
Larry Shearon
2820 N Huron
633-7423
ni
