Regular City Council mantes — 08104103 <br />DRAFT' Minutes - Page 11 <br />competitiveness in the future, given the significant <br />investment to implement the program. <br />At the request of Counciltnember Klausing, Mr. Brownell <br />further defined the pilot program conducted by his firm. <br />Councilmembers Maschka and Schroeder also requested <br />more detail related to the timing of the pilot program <br />(January 2001 through April 2002 ); with Councilmember <br />Schroeder questioning the advanced technology available <br />today, and whether that would have impacted the results of <br />the study. <br />Mr. Brownell opined that the market was continually <br />changing, and progress was being made, but the market <br />was still unproven and material handling Brill in the <br />incubator stages. <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn sought clarification of the number of <br />contacts made to his office by Roseville residents, with <br />Mr. Brownell estimating approximately twenty (20) cabs <br />that were tracked by location, not name. <br />Gary Boyum, Waste Management Area Manager and <br />Steve Dunn, District Manager for the recovery facility <br />and Plant Manager <br />Mr. Boyum defended the statistics quoted previously as <br />actual representative information compiled from <br />operations in twenty-four (24) metropolitan communities <br />using single - stream collections, <br />
