City of Roseville, Minnesota <br />Addendum to Agreement for Recycling <br />Collection <br />Effective August _, 2003 <br />This Addendum dated as of August , 2003 is made by and between the City of <br />Roseville, a municipal corporation, (""City") and Waste Management of Minnesota, <br />("Contractor2l). <br />VVEEREAS, the parties entered into that certain Agreement for Recycling cling Collection <br />dated January 1, 2003, which expires, December 31, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties now wish to extend the term of the Contract pursuant to the terms <br />and conditions specified herein. <br />NOW, a THEREFORE, the parties agree that effective as of August , 2003, the term of <br />the recycling Agreement shall be extended through December 31, 2008, subject to the <br />following terns and conditions: <br />Definitions: <br />Rejects: Means non -- recyclable items that are not acceptable or contaminated to <br />the point of being unsuitable for recycling, that are placed in recycling containers <br />by residents and delivered to the processing facility. <br />Process Residuals: Means non - recyclable materials remaining after processing <br />that do not meet end market specifications for quality. May include residual grit, <br />fines, film plastic and contaminated paper items that remain as "tailings" off the <br />end of the sorting conveyors. process residuals do not include clean, separated <br />products that are normally processed and prepared for shipment to markets as <br />conunodities but are of relatively low -value because of depressed market demand <br />conditions. <br />2. 'T`rans iti on <br />Effective upon delivery of the recycling carts the recycling service shall be <br />switched from the current two 2) sort system to "single sort" (commingled in a n.,. <br />single recycling cart), <br />
