AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, SECTION 703.05 OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE CONCERNING BUS BENCHES THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 703.05 of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as follows: 703.05: BUS BENCHES IN RIGHT OF WAY: No bench or_ she! may be placed or maintained in a public right of way without securing a permit from the public works director and the payment of an annual license fee of hir five dollars ($235.00) per bench. The number, size, and locations of all benches ��s shall be in accordance with the city of Roseville /metro transit bus route plan. .The Public works and Transportation Commission will review the annual site application and hold a hearing_ for public input regardi�ag the siting aMlication. A permit shall not be issued unless the bench and its placement comply with the following conditions: A. Bus stops: A bench may only be placed at a bus stop on an established bus route. B. Location. A bench shall be placed no nearer than four feet (4) from the roadway curb or the edge of the roadway where no curb exists and shall not obstruct a pathway. C. Number; No more than one bus bench Ew she' may be placed at a roadway intersection in the direction of traffic flow unless the vublic works director authorizes more benches in writing after finding that the passenger load justifies more than one bench at a bus spa. All bus benches shall bear the local telephone number at which the ,vendor may be reached concerning issues with the bench. D.
