7.0 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
On July 9, 2003, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the
Frigaard variance request. At the hearing no citizens addressed the Commission, and
Commissioners had no questions of staff` or the applicant. The Commission agreed that the odd
placement on a. cul -de -sac lot justified the need for a variance. The Commission was enthused
about the complimentary two story design and open front entry porch which has less of a visual
impact on the front yard.
The Roseville Planning Commission voted (5 -0) to recommend approval of the VARIANCE
request by David Frigaard, 420 Maple Lane Court based on the findings in Section 5 and
conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated July 9, 2003.
8.0 SUGGESTED CITY COLTNCIL ACTION:
8.1 Adopt a resolution approving a 7 foot 6 inch front yard VARIANCE to Section
1004.02D (Dwelling Dimensions — Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code
for David Frigaard to allow construction of an entry porch on to the front of his
home at 340 Maple Lane Court, based on the findings in Section 5 and conditions of
IP
Section 6 of the project report dated July 21, 2003.
Prepared by: Thomas Paschke (651-490-2236)
Attachments: Location reap, narrative, site plan, aerial photo, PC minute excerpts, and draft resolution.
PF3495 - RCA 07/21/03 - Page 5 of 5
