Civic and volunteer Activities (cont,): Boy Scouts of America. Present — Assistant Scout blaster Troop 150. 1994 to 1 999 — various leadership positions for Cub Scout Pack ISO. Roseville Parks and Recreation. 1993 to 1994 Youth Soccer Coach. Scholarships for youth baseball and basketball clinics. 1 992 to 2002 — through my business we have offered free or reduced prices for clinics for those who request assistance. Beta -Mu Scholarship and Academic Assistance Fund, 1 990 to Present — Treasurer. This is a fund for a University of Minnesota academic fraternity organization. St. Paul Audubon Society. Served two gears on audit committer. Christmas Bird Court Chair for three gears. Please state oar reasons for wantiniz to serge on this Commission, I have been an adult resident of Roseville since 1983 and a homeowner since 1 984. My wife and I have four children in the Roseville School District and all have participated in a wide variety of programs offered through the Parrs department. Through my active participation in numerous programs spanning different departments (organizations) in Roseville, I have come to appreciate the delicate balance in allocating resources to the many different constituents that reside in our City. My main concern for the Pans and Recreation Department is in maintaining the fine system of parrs we currently have and in continuing to offer the extensive programs that are currently offered. As Roseville continues on its path as an aging community, its leaders need to take measures to ensure that the attributes that made this community vibrant are there for future generations. I strongly believe that the Pans department is one of those attributes that have made this a wonderful city to live and raise a family in. What is _your view of the role of this Commission? This Commission should be a conduit for the flog of information between the City Council, the public and the Parrs Department concerning the allocation of Park Department services, The Commission should represent the opinions of the residents of the City of Roseville as it relates to what they want and do not want from the pans Department. On the other hand, the Commission should be able to convey to the residents an understanding of the benefits that a well run Pans Department has to offer this City. Finally, the commission should be able to draw on the experience and expertise of its individual members as it relates to Park and Recreation issues. Other Comments: I am seeking a reappointment to an additional term on this commission. I believe over the past three gears I have offered this commission, the Roseville Parks and Recreation Department and the citizens of Roseville intrinsic value and served with integrity. Two continuing goals would be to continue the role of commissioner goats and to continue the pursuit of effectively funding our extensive pathway system. Pj
