The following budget amendment to the 2002 Community Development Fund budget is to be considered: a) $25,100 transfer from the General Fund to the Community Development Fund, The 2002 cost -of- living adjustment was budgeted in the General Fund for all city employees, rather than in the individual funds. The amount shown here is the Community Development Fund's portion of these monies. b $25,100 additional appropriation for salaries. This was the amount needed to offset the 2002 cost-of-living adjustment for Community Development employees, and was provided for with the General Fund transfer mated above. c) $114,900 additional appropriation for other Services and Charges. This represents pass - through monies from the Met Council and was offset by a grant received earlier in the fiscal year. Attachments Excerpts of the 2002 financial statements reflecting the requested amendments for the Recreation and Community Development Funds are attached. The amendments have been ineorporated in the column marled `final" budget. Staff Recommendation Staff has reviewed the requested budget amendments and considers therm reasonable and within the expected range of adjustment. It is recommended that the budget amendments be approved. The City's auditors are scheduled to male a formal presentation on the 2002 financial statements at the June 2, 2003 Council Meeting. Council Action Requested Motion to approve the year -end amendments to the 2402 Budget.
