2002_2003 Co unity Arts <br />Application lumber 0i2-3 <br />GRANT AGREEMENT <br />BY AND BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN REGIONAL IONAL <br />Rd`s COUNCIL <br />AND <br />Kosevillg Parks and Recrgation. <br />THIS AGREEMENT is effective the 15th o f April, 200 b and between <br />. � � en the Metropolitan <br />Regional Arts Council (hereafter referred to as MRAQ and Roseville <br />Parks and Recreation <br />(hereafter referred to as "Grantee"),, <br />WHEREAS, the M AC has received bloc ant funds from the Mince ` <br />. seta state Legislature and <br />a grant from the McI i-dght Foundation to distribute to applicants for ' <br />�� the purpose of stimulating <br />and encouraging the creation, performance, and appreciation of the arts in pp the seven-county <br />metropolitan area of Nfinnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the Grantee has applied to the NffS C for a Comr munity Arts <br />Grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the MI AC has found the rantee's 1 roaeet to meet or exceed ed the established review <br />criteria and that the project will stimulate and encourage the creation <br />. , performance and <br />appreciation of the arts in the seven county metropolitan re ' on of N inner <br />F eta, and <br />WHEREAS, the M AC desires to assist the Grantee by awarding a Community Arts Grant; <br />Now f THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the MR AC and the Grant • <br />Grantee agree as follows. <br />I. GRANT AMOUNT <br />A. Total Grant Amount. The SAC shall pay to the grantee or to the grantee fiscal agent, if applicable, <br />amount not to exceed 000. grant funds shad be distributed ' � 1�P able, an <br />tributed to the Grantee within forty-five (45) days of execution <br />of this agreement. <br />E. Grantee's Match. The Grantee's share of the financial support for the project shall be at least fifty p �, by (50) percent <br />of the total project costs as set forth in the Grantee's application for rant assistance which is <br />� attached to this <br />agreement as Exhibit A and incorporated into this agreement. The Grantee is required to match the MRAC grant <br />award on a one- to-one basis. At least twenty-five (25) percent of this match must he cash income as detailed in <br />Exhibit A. The remaining seventy -five (75) percent of the match may be cash or in -kind income a • <br />Exhibit A. <br />s detailed m <br />IL USE of GRANT FUNDS <br />A. Authorized. Use of Grant Funds. The project described in Exhibit A was recommended and approved ed for funding <br />by panel and board based on the information and description contained in Exhibit A. Grantee is authorized to use <br />the grant funds only to carry out the project in accordance with the specifications contained n iExhibit A. Any <br />changes to the content of the project or the project budget, particularly in regard to payment to Q1 L1s tsf must be <br />reviewed and approved in advance by MRAC staff. Such changes not reviewed and approved in advance once by I11fRAC <br />staff may be constitute a violation of the authorized use of grant funds <br />B. Unauthorized Use of Grant Funds. Upon a finding by the MERAC that the Grantee has made are unau <br />shoed use <br />of grants funds or that the Grantee receivers grant funds but failed to submit required narrative summary irrnmary and <br />financial reports{ and upon a demand by the MRAC for repayment, the Grantee agrees to promptly <br />amounts to the MAC. <br />� p ptly repay such <br />Rage 1 of 3 <br />
