F0 <br />Department Approval: City Manager i'� proval Agenda Section: <br />TP /DPW �� ���j CONSENT <br />Item Description: Request by Roland Gisvold for a VAJRLkNCE to Section 1004.0 D5 of the <br />RoseviHe City Code to allow construction of an attached garage to the front <br />of the house: at 970 Transit Avenue (PF3464). <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br />1.1 Roland Gisvold,, 970 Transit Avenue, has submitted an application seeping approval of a <br />variance to construct a 20 foot wide by 22 foot deep (440 sq. ft.) attached garage addition <br />on to the north side of his home. The proposed addition will encroach 15.5 feet into the <br />front yard requiring a variance to Section 1004.02D5 -- Dwelling Dimensions - Front <br />Yard Setback. <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br />Application submitted on March 17, 2003. <br />Determined complete on April 16, 2003. <br />60 -day review deadline on June 15, 2003. <br />Staff Review & Recommendation: Approval w /Conditions - May 7, 2003. <br />Planning Conunissi on: Hearing/Approval Recommendation (5 -0) - May 7, 2003. <br />City Council Action: Approval - June 2, 2003 <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Dix IONS: <br />2.1 The Community Development Staff recommends approval of a 15.5 foot VARIANCE to <br />Section 1004.02D5 (Dwelling Dimensions — Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville <br />City Code for Roland Gisvold allowing the construction of are attached garage at 970 <br />Transit Avenue, subject to conditions. <br />3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION: <br />3.1 Adopt a resolution approving the requested variance subject to conditions (see <br />Section 8 for more detail). <br />FF3464 - RCA 060203 - Page I of 6 <br />
