I Kenneth Berger seeps approval for a Variance to Section 1004.017 to allow <br />construction of a detached garage 17.73 feet in front of the principal structure (home) and <br />42 feet from the front yard property line adjacent to Victoria. Street. <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br />Application submitted on April March 31, 2003 <br />Determined complete on April 22, 2003 <br />0 -day review deadline on June 21, 2003; <br />Staff Review /Recommendation: Approval — May 7, 2003 <br />• Planning Commission: Hearing Denial Recommendation (3-2) — May 7} 2003. <br />• City Council Action: Approval /Denial - June 2, 2003 <br />2.0 SUMMARY of RE COMMENDATIONS: <br />2.1 The Community Development Staff recommended approval of a 17.73 foot <br />VARIANCE to Section 1004.01A7 (Location) for Kenneth Berger to allow construction <br />of a 24 foot by 26 foot (624 sq. ft.) detached accessory building (garage) in the front }yard <br />at 3 063 ,Victoria Street, subject to conditions. <br />2.2 on May 7, 2003, the Roseville Planning Commission determined that alternatives <br />existed that could he accomplished under the `official controls" of the City Code <br />and therefore no variance was needed. The Planning Commission voted (3 -2) to <br />recommend DENUL of a 1 7.73 foot VARIANCE to Section 1004.01A7 (Location) <br />for Kenneth Berger, 3063 victoria Street. <br />3,0 SUGGESTED '101: <br />3.1 Because the planning Commission recommended denial, the Council will have to <br />determine whether the request by Mr,, Berger is reasonable and practical and grant <br />or deny the variance (see Section 8 for details). <br />PF3465 - RCA 06/0 2/03 Page 1 of 6 <br />
