Regular City Council Minutes — 06/16/03 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 1 <br />tower on the southeast corner of the Public Works garage <br />facility. <br />Councilmember Maschka expressed his preference for a <br />tower not to exceed one - hundred feet (100'). <br />Discussion included proposed location for a monopole in <br />relationship to the roadway; Public Works building and <br />%P <br />salt/sand storage yard; equipment screening wall; and <br />equipment parking interference with the tower location at <br />other sites. <br />Mr. Paschke introduced Mr. Paul Harrington, of Carlson <br />and Harrington, local broker for Sprint PCS, an applicant <br />for tower space. <br />Further discussion, with responses by Mr. Harrington, <br />related to strobe lights and/or markings on the pole in <br />accordance with FAA stipulations, with markings or <br />strobe lights required if the pole is under one - hundred fifty <br />feet (150'); the natural elevation of this site; height of <br />power transmission lines along County Road C at one- <br />hundred thirty-seven feet (137') with a twenty foot (20') <br />elevation variation; impact of this location to the entire <br />campus site; and access to equipment through the Public <br />Works storage y <br />Mr. Harrington responded that Sprint's needs were met at <br />eighty feet (80'), but questioned the limitations that height <br />might place on others considering leasing space on the <br />tower. <br />
