I eg
DRAFT Minutes - Page 19
Project Manager Schwartz responded that the cost per
square foot for underground storage was less than that of
increasing the building's footprint or stand alone.
Ms. Anderson provided several corrections to infonnation
presented by Mr. Moses: the cost of an additional elevator
is closer to $35,000, rather than $100,000; and the rating
issue for precast plank proposed for the underground
garage ceiling is two (2) hours, not three (3);
Ms. Anderson addressed the cost of revising the site plan
at this point; stating that the site work had already been
bid and bids received; structural plans completed and
printed as of today, with bidding beginning today on the
remainder; she estimated that that portion of the project
pans were $0% completed, as well as mechanicals, and
she anticipated that the project was within thirty (30) days
of construction. Lt. Mathwig advised
that the department actively pursues forfeited vehicles,
and depending on whether they're seized through the City
and/or County Attorney, can be housed for up to one (1)
year, depending on the court calendar. Lt. Mathwig
further advised that the department had experienced some
damage to vehicles stored outside, that they vary in
quality and condition, and that they must be returned to
the owner, if not forfeited, in their original condition.
Further discussion included the City's requirement to
carry insurance on the housed vehicles; money realized at
