WHEREAS, said Terrace Drive extension will cross the property on which the <br />Centennial Gardens west Apartments are located; and <br />WHEREAS, the owners of the Centennial Gardens west Apartments and the City <br />have been unsuccessful in reaching an agreement to purchase the needed land; and <br />WHEREAS, title to the land underlying the street extension is needed as soon as <br />possible so that construction can begin in a timely fashion, and so that emergency access <br />is available during construction; and <br />VMERE i , the City Council approved a motion on March 31, 003, to tale all <br />actions necessary to acquire street right of way for the Terrace eve extension. <br />Iowa THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that City staff is <br />directed to immediately proceed with acquisition of the land necessary for the extension <br />of Terrace Drive to the Applewood Pointe property.
