A. <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />7'1&,( - _ Recognitions <br />Item Description: Arbor Day Proclamation <br />BACKGROUND <br />As a part of our Tree City USA membership, each year the City of Roseville proclaims a <br />specific day as Arbor Day in order to recognize the importance of trees and to promote <br />their proper care and the planting of many additional appropriate tree species to replace <br />the thousands that have been lost over the wars. <br />POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />This is consistent with the policy adopted many gears ago of annually proclaiming Arbor <br />Darr. <br />FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br />None <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that Friday, April 25, 2003 be named Roseville Arbor Day. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion adopting the proclamation. <br />
