The floor tile contains I to 3% chry'sotile asbestos. The mastic on, the bottom of the tile does not contain any asbestos. 0 Discussion of Results The floor the in the basement should berepaired or renwved. Mininully, broken pieces of file should be rernoved, loose tiles glued down and missing areas of tile patched, 4.0 Conclusions and Recommendations Based on observations and sampling results, the following actions, are, recommended-, Water-darnaged and, fim,gal-contaminatiled building materials, should be removed, under controlled conditions.- p, Me bottom one-foot of sheetrock, should be, removed from siheetrock walls in the basement. Where visible mold, is apparent', on sheetrock walls, the sh,eetrock should be removed to at least six (6) *inches, past the area of1visible mold., Porous materials, that are contaminated with mold should be bagged or wrapped in plastic and, discarded. Porous items that are washable, e.g., theatre costa s, can be cleaned. Non-poTous materials need to, be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Controlled conditions, such as physical isolation and negative air pressurization, of the abatement, area, will protect adjacent areas and individuals from fimgal spores that are released when, fimgal-contaminated materials are removed. Water-stained and nfissm'g ceilm"g tiles should be replaced.
