Shared activities <br />have been engineered to build a positive relationship, between law enforcement officials, other adu�lts and <br />the juveniles. Group and Individual activities have, been varied, informative, and successful. <br />12141 .0 0 1 0 - I <br />The youth mentori�ng Program gives the youth a Positive look at law enforcement by involving officers as <br />youth mentors. Demonstrations and talks given by officers have and continue to be effective. <br />The program has, been well recelved and the Roseville Police Department continues to expand the <br />program�. <br />I <br />A director, Kirsiten Diawson�, has been retained' with JAI BG funds to administer the program. With monies <br />avail�abile from this, jA11BG allocation, the program will also, be expanded to include more field tripis, <br />a�rra,ng�e for special speakers, and explore new forms, of recreational and Community p *ects that inc,lude <br />r0i <br />the mentoirs and the juveniles. The department Is excited about continuing the parent support group <br />program this next, year. <br />parent support g�roup, iii Slurvivin�g Difficult Parenting," has been coordinated In collaboration with Family <br />Violence Network. A l�icensed' Psychologist facilitates the group, and the majority of funds In this purpose <br />2�rea are used to, finan�ce the Psychologist's services. <br />This support group is facilitated by Dena Bohn who, cur�renby charges $100 a session. Each block of <br />sessions, is scheduled for 10 weeks, and Ms. Bohn schedules no less than three blocks of sessions <br />a <br />B I rinually. e Thi's program has been extremely successfull. Therefore, $6,1000 will be earmarked to pay Ms- <br />lolh�n�"s <br />ION 11 ir.0 <br />0 ��E <br />The, total funds, allocated for the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant (JAIBG) period January 1 <br />21,0031, to March 31, 20�04, are $9,285 plus an additional $2,000 that requires no city match.
