Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: October 25, 2011 Item No: 6 <br />Item Description: Organized Trash Collection <br />Background: <br />The Commission requested a discussion with various stakeholders and community organizations <br />that have indicated positions on this issue at the October meeting. The Waste Haulers have been <br />invited to attend as well as the Roseville Citizens League who held the recent forum and the <br />League of Women Voters. We also plan to have a demonstration of a software program (Heavy <br />Vehicles Impact Tool) developed to estimate the damage caused by heavy trucks on pavements. <br />We anticipate short presentations and discussion as follows: <br />• Road Impact tool demonstration- 10 minutes <br />• League of Women Voters position - 5 -10 minutes <br />• RCL position 5 -10 minutes <br />• Waste Haulers position 5 -10 minutes <br />• Public Comments <br />• Commission discussion <br />Recommended Action: <br />Discuss recommendation on this topic. <br />Attachments: <br />A. <br />B. <br />C. <br />
