IN Al 9 i <br />The Sister Cities program s designed to encourage, friendly and meaningful exchanges <br />between communities in the United States and communities in, other ea tries. <br />The Roseville City Council has established a Sister City committee to explore the possibility <br />9,00 <br />of the Roseville community enteringinto this type of relationship, vVith other comm unines <br />of' the world. <br />The committae has as its mission: "To foster good will and und,erstandinig between, the <br />people in the Roseville community and other people of the world on a person-to-perlson <br />basis." <br />ThI*s, is to be accomplished by 'identifying communities, and people in other countries who <br />have an interest in establishing an, on-going cultural exchange program, the people in the <br />Roseville area. <br />The types of two-way acuities that the committee NMI be trying to establish include: <br />41 <br />The procedure to begin this program would be by first establishing informal, relationships <br />with, other communities (Friendship City). When these relationships develop into a <br />41 <br />positive exchange, a more formal sister city relationship (Sister City), involving, city <br />officials, from both cities, would, be established,. <br />
