EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> HELD: October 24, 2011 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br /> Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on October 24, 2011, at 6:00 p.m., <br /> The following members were present: McGehee, Willmus, Johnson, Pust and Roe <br /> and the following members were absent: none. <br /> Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 10944 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING MODIFICATIONS <br /> TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA <br /> AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 PLAN <br /> 1. WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, Minnesota(the "City") has heretofore established the <br /> Redevelopment Project Area and Industrial Development District No. 1 (the "Project Area"); and there <br /> is a proposal to modify the Redevelopment Project Area and Industrial Development District No. 1 Plan <br /> for the Project Area pursuant to and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.001 through <br /> 469.047 (the "Act"); and <br /> 2. WHEREAS, the City has investigated the facts and has caused to be prepared <br /> modifications to the Redevelopment Project Area and Industrial Development District No. 1 Plan <br /> pursuant to the Act to provide for a redevelopment project consisting of redeveloping various <br /> components of its park system and the construction of a new fire station because of water infiltration, <br /> mold problems, and general deterioration at an existing fire station located at Woodhill and Lexington <br /> avenues (the "Project"); and <br /> 3. WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the public interest that the City undertake the Project, <br /> as provided in the "Modifications to the Redevelopment Project Area and the Industrial Development <br /> District No. 1 Plan", dated October 24, 2011 (the"Plan"), a copy of the which has is on file with the <br /> County Manager and has been provided to the City Council; and <br /> 4. WHEREAS, the Project described in Plan is a redevelopment project within the meaning <br /> of Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.002, Subd. 14, for the purpose of redevelopment as set forth in the <br /> Act. <br /> 5. WHEREAS,the modifications to the Plan will carry out the purposes and policies of the <br /> Act; and <br />
