The recycling fee, while fairly new, has e�ncountered several signin I c,ant changes, dun'ng the past <br />several years, In, 1994 and, 1995, revenue from recycling products were fairly strong and the city <br />proceeded to decrease rates based, on, those sales., Revenue ftom such products however,, <br />decreased substantially in, 1996 and 1997. <br />*Not 'Included in 1998 Request for Bids for Curbside Collection. <br />* * Level of Revenue or cost decreases, necessary to be a, reasonable position. <br />While the projections indicate that an 'increase wiu be needed,1 we, will not have a final <br />recommendation, until the bids are received later in, November. <br />We are recommending the following utility adjustments for 1998: <br />-9 <br />Sewer rates would increase from, $11.34 to, $1.37 per tnousand, p1lonsi for residential and, the <br />M <br />ange in the <br />commerclahindustrial rate would change from $2,,22 to o- <br />w 1,.
