Since that time, <br />a Task Force to review the performance of the Fire Relief Investment Fund, secured a <br />I <br />consultant to study the performance ofthe Fire Rel'ielf fund, and has had a number of <br />meetings to discuss this, issiue., <br />To, addreisis any of the three, objectives (stated above) without addressing them all would <br />be less, than des,irabilel., The City Clounc,il has, supported and directed staff to focus on <br />win/win si,tuat,ion that, addresses each ofthe objectives, in an equal and timely man�ner. <br />Considerable pirog�ress, has been m�ade toward this, obJective., <br />Stiaffwould sugglest that any proposal that does not deal with each of these objectives in <br />I <br />a fair, uniform,, and timely m�anneir, is, inappropriate. <br />The Citly's contribution to, the Fire RellefAssociation represent's a significant budg�et <br />com�m�it,m�ent by, the City. Further, the fund and its total' potential risk to the taxpayer also, <br />represents, a significant Potential risk to the Roseville taxpayer. As such, the City Council <br />and s,taff'arel obligated to, proceed cautiously, on any, peinsion benefitincrease. <br />
