<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota was duly held on the 14th day of April, 1986 at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Johnson, Kehr, Cushman, <br />Matson, and Demos, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 7877 <br /> <br />"HANDS ACROSS AMERICA" AND "HANDS ACROSS THE TWIN CITIES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 25, 1986, an estimated six million Americans will <br />hold hands to form a human chain from Los Angeles to the Statue <br />of Liberty in New York; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 25, 1986, residents of the Twin Cities will also <br />hold hands to form a human chain from the State Capitol to the <br />University of Minnesota; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of such project is to raise funds for the <br />hungry and homeless; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville hereby <br />encourages the citizens of Roseville to suport the purposes of <br />the "Hands Across America" and the "Hands Across the Twin Cities" <br />projects by individual participation and/or donations of funds. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />this 14th day of April, 1986. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by member Matson, and upon a vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Johnson, Kehr, <br />Cushman, Matson, and Demos, and the following voted against the <br />same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
