8 LAWFUL GAMPLING <br />'The Department of Revenue currently em,ploys the only gambling regulatory <br />auditors,. As a result they have been called on to do the audits necessary for <br />the criminal invest igations of the, Department of Public Safety. <br />I <br />I <br />ne 198'9 Legislature also established a Division ofGambling Enforcement iin <br />the Department of Public Safety. The Di""sion has responses relating to <br />all legalized gambling. Ile division must conduct background checks on lot- <br />4k <br />teiry employees, reta,ilersi, manufacturers or di i stributors of gambling <br />equipment, bingo hall lessors,, and Racing Commission license applicants., <br />The division also has a number ofresponsibilities relating to Indian gaming. <br />4 Schedule A oif'the tax return, câ–ºntalins a summary of gambling, revenues and expenses at each gambling <br />site. Schedule B accounts for the revenues from each gamic of pull -tabs, tip boards, and paddlevrheels <br />played, by the organization., Schedule C contains information, about, each lawful purpose expenditure. <br />
