Attachment A <br />Jonathan Miller <br />998 Brenner Ave. <br />Roseville,, MN 55113 <br />At the University of Colorado, I worked as a Geographic Information Systems analyst and <br />research assistant performing an Environmental Impact Statement for a road network in an <br />Arizona National Forest. I have also worked as a retail sales associate at Joe's Sporting Goods in <br />Little Canada,, MN and as a cross country ski coach at Mounds Park Academy in St. Paul. <br />FOMMIM am, <br />I hold a Master's Degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Colorado <br />(graduated May, 200 9)1,, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in biology and environmental studies <br />I <br />from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN (graduated May, 2005). <br />Civic and Volunteer Activities (Past and Present): <br />While in Colorado,, I volunteered at events for Bicycle Colorado - an organization advocating for <br />safe routes for bicycling. Recently, I have been working and volunteering at Loring Elementary <br />School in North Minneapolis teaching cross country skiing through the City of Lakes Moppet <br />Nordic Ski Foundation and teaching gardening through Kids Cook Classroom. <br />Please state your reasons for wanting to, serve on the Colmmissioln/Colmmittee/Task Force: <br />As a dominant feature of Minnesota's Landscape, its lakes and rivers are sources of drinking <br />water,, irrigation and recreation and are valuable natural ecosystems in themselves. I want to <br />serve on the Grass Lake Water Management Organization to work for creative ways to maintain <br />watershed protection while allowing reasonable land development. <br />What is your view of the irolle of this Commission/ Colmmittee/Task Force? <br />As an advisory organization to the cities of Roseville and Shoreview, the Grass Lake Water <br />Management Organization is charged with preserving and improving water quality within the <br />Grass Lake watershed for the benefit of the natural and human systems that depend on that <br />water. <br />Any further information you would Illike the City Council to, consider or that you feel is irellevaint to, the appointment you <br />are seeking. <br />I have been a Roseville resident since the age of two, save for my time in college and graduate <br />school,, and I am a product of the Roseville Area public schools. I learned to love the outdoors <br />playing in the woods and on the lakes of Roseville and Shoreview, and look forward to working <br />to help maintain these for the benefit of all people. <br />I understand that the City will �nolt publish my phone or fax numbers or email address without my authorization and do <br />hereby allow the City to, publish (check all that apply). <br />None checked <br />
